I was born February 2, 1955 at Wesley Hospital in Wichita, KS. My Mothers name on my original birth certificate says Mary Hannah Jones Smith, born about 1919-1920. On the SRS paperwork says I have a 1/2 brother born about 1947-1948...18 yrs older than I am. She was married to a Theodore T. Smith and lived on Grove Steet in Wichita. SRS paperwork says I am part Cherokee.

Helping my friends mother who is ill, she would love nothing more then to get back into contact with a son she had to give up for adoption. She had her son while living in Cape Fear North Carolina, at Fort Bragg military hospital. He would be about 42 years old. It was a closed adoption.Obviously his name would have been changed with the adoption but this was his name on his birth certificate.

Hi, I'm adopted and found my birthfamily already. There is a website called David Grey's People Finder. You have to pay for it but its worth it. You can search your birthdate and there will be some that say Infant of.... it will have the birth certificate number with it. Your birth certificate number does not change when your adopted and I think you can search by your birth cert number as well. The Infants of ... will be at the end of the search by birthdate. Its a very good site and you can most likely find them that way. Thats how I found out who mine were. Its amazing and shocking at first but will give you peace by knowing.
