If you know where she was born, I would try looking for a record of deaths caused by a flood in that area. By 1913 most newspapers would have detailed a flood that caused deaths...perhaps even a list of lost would have been published. There has to be an account in a newspaper of this incident. This may provide valuable leads.
I located information from the great flood of 1913 in Ohio where 467 people died. Odds are this is your flood.
I'll see if I can come up with a list of dead or more details.
This information is not known by my family - hence why I am trying to search records or figure out where I can find this information. The information that I put in my first post is the extent of the information that my current living family knows.
They have ways of figuring this out and you best chances to get some information are, when your ggrandmother is still alive.
If you wanna do this by yourself, check Ggrandmothers birthcertificate, wehre was she born, go to the hospital and ask, they will most probably not be willing to share information, though its a worth a try.
Some things get very clear witht he social-security number. If your ggrandmother got hers at birth, there will be the signature of either her birth-mother, which in that case is most probably not possible, or a doctor or attourney of state signing in "their name".
This is how I would do it today.
Your ggrandmother being born in 1913 makes that a little harder.
I am new to this and i am looking for the gosselin coat of arms I want to have it tattooed to my forearm and I know there are many ones out there for diffrent gosselin clans i just want to make shure i get the right one
To actually get the right coat of arms you need to find an ancestor who actually used the coat of arms in a document, gravestone, perhaps etched on a building where the ancestor lived. Only the noble families had a coat of arms ofcourse, the vast majority (common people) didn't. Many coat of arms were designed recently aswell, there is nothing stopping you from designing one right now, but my guess is that is not what you are looking for.
I am having trouble finding information on my great grandfathers If someone could assist I would be most appreciative.
Name: Austin H Smith
Married to: Charlotte I. Brandt Children: Violet Louise Smith, Ralph Smith, Olive Smith, Iver Smith, Martha Smith. Tentative guess on parents is James Smith and Ester (no last name). My Grandmother Violet grew up in Massachusetts so that's where I'd assume they were from. My grandmother was born in Aug 5 1907 so I would assume they were between 20 and 40 years old putting their birth between 1867 and 1887.
Name: George Harold Martin Jr.
Don't know who he's married to. His father is most likely George Harold Martin. His Children included Bryon Nichols Martin and Paul Clark Martin. Byron was born in Sep 16 1909 so I would assume they were between 20 and 40 years old putting their birth between 1869 and 1889. I would also think the lived in Massachusetts or some neighboring state.
I would like to find out birth and death dates and places. Marriage dates would be nice too. Plus any line back on their siblings or parents would be helpful.
