Hola que tal mi nombre es Francisco Araúz Rivera y vivo en la ciudad de Panamá,mi familia es originaria de Bugaba,David y Tierras altas de Chiriqui, tengo años de no saber de ninguno de mis familiares por alla aunque estoy cerca,por cosas de trabajo se me ha hecho imposible. mi correo es francisco.arauz arroba hotmail punto com. Siempre es mejor que no se casen entre primos, yo tengo años de no ir por Panama pero voy a viajar pronto. A lo mejor averiguo algo de mis ancestros, pero pienso que para averiguar bien habria que contactarse con el Archivo de Indias en España creo que esta en Sevilla. Bueno saludos y suerte.

На снимке изображён мой прадед Молчанов Георгий Акимович и его жена Молчанова Наталья Сергеевна
со своими сёстрами.
Прадед из углических крестьян,в 1890г был отправлен в Санкт Петербург,работал в скобяном магазине
на Невском проспекте недалеко от Аничкова моста.
Где то в 1900г стал совладельцем магазина и женился на Наталье Сергеевне -уроженке Санкт
Петербурга (по рассказам из дворянской семьи).
В 1903г по какой то причине продал свою долю и с двумя дочерьми переехали с семьёй и двумя
сёстрами жены в Углич.
Купили большой частный дом на ул.Советской(современное название) организовали частную швейную
мастерскую.
В 1904г участвовал в Русско-Японской войне,вернулся в Углич.
В 1914г участвовал в первой мировой.Был в плену в Австрии.Вероятно в 1919г вернулся в Углич.
В Угличе у них родилось ещё три дочери.
Хотелось бы узнать девичью фамилию жены и её родословную,а также больше информации о
прадеде,проявившим недюжие способности.
Кстати основатель купеческой фамилии Елисеевых тоже из Ярославской губернии,но прибыл в Петербург
на 50 лет раньше.
А Елисеевский магазин на Невском построили как раз в 1902г уже вместе с сыновьями,как раз когда
там жил мой прадед.
Загадка для меня ,что Молчановых нет в списке жителей 1901г.
Сечас заказал книгу"Невский дом за домом"-может узнаю что о владельце магазина.
Магазин этот мне показывали в детстве,дом до сих пор существует и в нём есть магазины.Сечас мне
уже точно не вспомнить-единствено ,что помню меня поразили масштабы магазина,расположенного в
двух уровнях и богатство оформления всего здания.

Данное акционерное общество фабрик железных изделий располагалось на Невском проспекте в доме№42.
На фото 1902г видна реклама продукции: ванны,кровати,печи,мет.мебель и т. д.
В интернете есть информация только про Варшавскую компанию с таким названием,построившей в Росии первые металлические застеклённые здания в Пятигорске и занимавшейся также витражами.
Скорей всего это филиал,потому ,что основатель Гостынский Владислав Владиславович учился в Петербурге и являлся одновремеено акционером страховой компании "Россия",владевшая этими домами.
В соседнем здании располагался магазин Северно стекольной промышленной компании.
Интересно есть ли между ними связь?
Дело в том ,что мой прадед Молчанов Георгий Акимович в 1900г был совладельцем магазина металлических изделий по рассказам,располагавшемся в доме №44 на Невском.
Я думаю здесь должна быть какая то взаимосвязь.
Кто обладает какими то данными или соображениями пожалуйста поделитесь.
Some of you may remember looking up my grt grandfathers details on censuus records for me. Well I phoned bolton reg office to buy my grandfathers birth certificate today, but they cant help . The census record details do not show on the records in office there.
I am lost now thinking of giving it all up as I feel like I failed. my details where. my grandfather james hurst was born in blackrod bolton (which proved to come under wigan) in 1882.
I got his birth cert it gave his dad as john hurst, born bolton .
john married Catherine Jackson in 1873 at wigan.on all census records they lived in blackrod, at reeds cresant. I then went for johns marriage cert to wigan got it as above 1873.
his dad was james hurst both coal miners...but johns birth on it was 1849 not 1847. I rang today for the certificate going off years 1847 to 49 they say only one shows which is 1849 to a james and sarah that james being a carpenter...I told them from records I have got his dad as james hurst a miner married betsy stead bolton and johns grandfather on dads side as thomas and betty hurst... they just said sorry only one record comes up for james as father of john and his wife is sarah no other records? I said there are on the census results he just said the 1847 to james and betsy isnt there? I could cry what can i do now? apart from give it all up as am not very good at this tree its proving just impossible to get any leads and money is tight to pay anyone to do it for me.
This is an old post, and I hope you've had some success since then. Have you looked through the morgues of newspapers? How about churchyards? Or church records? I wish I could be of more help, but don't give up! Do you have any family records, such as an old (very!) datebook, or diary that you haven't already torn apart for information? I feel guilty because my family has been so well documented and researched. But those are some of the things I was told to check out.
Museums and libraries are other sources.

Hi Thank you for the kind reply. yes I have moved on a little from the message but its very hard when there is no one alive to ask now. I have nothing documented so its all hard slog but am enjoying the journey also. xx
I'm so glad you haven't given up! Do you know a local historian, who might at least have some family anecdotes or bits and pieces of things to help you find more info? I was again lucky in that my mother and aunt were very interested in their respective histories, and I learned how to search that way. Boy, do computers help! Of course, the Demarest Family Genealogy is already in book form (I'm in it since I'm the daughter of a Demarest),, so it's always available to me.Not every family has a golden resource like that. Without anyone alive to ask and answer questions, it must be very hard, indeed, and lonely. If I can help in any other way,even just with a little support, we might together solve the puzzle some day. I'd like to know if you do turn up something!
