The best way to add information to your family tree from SmartMatches that you received is to use the Contact Webmaster link and get in touch with the webmaster of the family site where you have matches. That way, you have a good chance of getting more information than you may have thought available and you will be able to verify the validity of data added to your tree. Not to mention, it’s always great to make new acquaintances with people who share your family history.
In order to create a family tree which is editable online, create a gedcom of your family tree and then use the Import Gedcom link on the Family Tree page of your family site to upload your gedcom. This will create a tree that you and your site members can edit and add to online.

I have uploaded my gedcom file (which I created from my family tree and "Imported" it via the Import Gedcom link on the Family Tree page) but I cannot edit it online? I cannot find any options to edit the gedcom tree online?? How do I edit my gedcom tree? Where do I go to edit it?
Please help, I have posted several queries on how to edit my gedcom tree but so far have received no answers. Please forgive me, and don't take this as a complaint, it isn't, It's just that I've seen your above message and am now trying, in vain, to edit the file.

You dont say what your location is so I dont know what kind of hints to give you. If you are in the United States you can start where ever you think they had homes. Go to those local libraries for local history books, newspapers, church and cemetery listings, etc. Go to the courthouse in your local county and check marriage records. Some counties will let you see birth and death records and some wont. You can check out land deeds, estate wills, probated wills, land grants, taxes etc all that information is open. If you still dont know where to start or hit a block email me at email@example.com and I will see if I can help. Barbara
First of all I am very new at this so please hang in there with me! I am looking for any children of my grandfather's brother. His name was Jean Baptiste Robinson. He was last heard of in the early 1900s.....1914. He moved to EmbrunRussell area and then he could have gone up towards the Niagara region with his family. I know him and his wife had children because they (children) were baptised at the Catholic Church in Embrun, Ontario. Any help location their last location (where they are burried) would be greatly appriciated. Many thanks.
After importing a GEDCOM, no relationships are showing. The import was fine, but for example, my father and mother, when you right click and select Relationship, say they are not related. Is there a way to correct this?
