I have managed to trace his marrige certificate which sais that he was born in "Dugmore - Russia" and married "Jane Judith Hendriette Van der Merwe" in 1911 - he was 42. David's son's (David Henry Logan) birth certificate sais that my great grand father was born in Scotland ???????????????????

I know it is frustrating but don't give up. Just when you think you have hit a dead end something or someone with the answers will show up. Do you get Ancestry.com? You can try that site for the British Isles or you can try familysearch.org They are always coping records from other countrys.I don't know how else to help you.
