I’ve been doing genealogy research and have come across bit of a road block.
I know my grandfathers great grandma was born in Wales, her name was Elizabeth. She moved to Pennsylvania and married a man with the surname Jones.
I can only find information on her with her married name so it’s impossible to trace her all the way back to Wales.
Does anyone have information on her or tips on how to find her maiden name?
Elizabeth Jones, born 1860 in Wales.
Married to George W. Jones(born 1856) in Pennsylvania.
Daughter: Lydia Rachel Jones born Feb. 3 1885
Hi there...the only way I know to find the maiden name of a married person is to get the marriage cert.or birth cert. of an offspring. Best of luck,I too have all my ancestors in Wales and the sir names are all the same !!
