I would like to connect with anyone from this family. Mortimer Delvil Gaines moved to Missouri in the mid 1800s and brought his slaves with him from Virginia--Albemarle County to be exact. I believe that his son, William Fretwell Gaines had at least one child with my great-great grandmother, Millia Jane Gaines. I would like to hear from anyone interested in pursuing this subject.
