I have merged together a fairly large family tree from my fathers side, moms has half that is pretty large (maternal) but paternal is a dead end.
Looking for any info on Harry Allen MacConnell- born in Canada 9 Aug1897 - became US citizen, Marine, died Buffalo NY 1989. My grandfather. I heard a name - phonetically KlemO , perhaps Clemeaux? for his mother and never heard any info on his father.
Can anyone point me in a direction where I can head online...or info if you have it ? May father (he has passed) had done the massive research on my tree...I would like to see it through...

Your request is old so I don't know if you are still looking for information, but I found a WWI Draft Registration. If you go to this link: https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/KXTV-23V then you will see where you can click on the right side of the screen to get to the the actual record. The actual record shows his mother's name as nearest relative. It also shows where his father was born.
