: | Looking at where did Albert Martinus Erickson go, research shows Tonopah is a mining town, and the family has some brushes with mining "out west," starting with an unwise investment by Mons Anderson, Albert's very wealthy uncle, and ending with some sort of rights to a silver mine from Margaret Erickson Linn, Albert's niece, passed down to my father, Harold Erickson, and thought to be worthless. Bur did Albert succeed or fail, if this is indeed he in the census reports? There are mysteries surrounding our murky connections to mines in the west and certainly to Albert's severance of connections to the family in La Crosse.
