Firefox 3 needs the latest Java package installed in order to work properly. Installation is available from http://www.java.com. Once downloaded and installed, Firefox 3 must be closed (all instances in case more than one Firefox window is open). After that, the Resarch tool should work properly.
It still doesn't work for me. I'm using XP SP3 with the latest FF ver 3.0.1and Java 6 update 7.
I'm getting the following error in the Java console:
java.lang.NullPointerException

at SearchApplet.init(SearchApplet.java:398)

It didn't work for me! I've installed the latest Java version, shut down FFox3, but it still presents me with the same message when I try to do a search. Anything else I could look for?
