As for your requests and suggestions below, we are monitoring and relaying all to our Research and Development department for well thought-out consideration and implementation. Please keep an eye out for any such updates due to your contributions.
Wallpaper or background designs for pages in tree. You can offer a few designs and/or an individual can upload their own.
Also, a favorites page would be great! That way you can see how much alike or different family members are. An individual can customize this page; such as:
1. Top 3 favorite Foods 2. Top 3 favorite movies 3. Favorite types of music
4. Favorite Sports 5. Favorite Color 6. Favorite subject in school
7. Favorite book(s) 8. Favorite pets and their names. 9. Concerts or plays attended
So Forth and so on. Also a background page where you can list all of the schools you attended and the city & state they are located. All the type of jobs you have held or done or places where you worked. Places where you've traveled. Places where you lived.
Okay so looking at my smart matches, I see places where I'd like to update Mine to add some of there's What about if I could just drag Individuals up to my tree, and poof they are in.
I entered mail-addresses for some of my relatives in America and they got the welcome message from MyHeritage in swedish which is my native language. They didn't understand at all.
When I put an email address to invite someone I would like to be able to choose which language the invitations should use.
Is it possible to show an adoption such as my son was adopted by my husband and I would like to show him under both families , my husband was also legally adopted by his step father but wants to be shown under both families as well since he is now close with his birth fathers family. There are several cases like this in my family Do i have to make two or more blocks for all of them? how do i tied them together? If this is not possible it should be.
If I want to share my family info with a cousin, my cousin has no need for all my wife's ancestors. I would like to be able to fully export only "my side" to a GEDCOM, and then reimport it as a new project.
I can select my own ancestors, sure, but that comes out incomplete. At each step all the siblings of each of my ancestors, and the descendants of those siblings, are lost. Even my uncles, aunts and cousins -- all of them are lost with the "ancestors" selection. How about a feature to select "descendants of my ancestors"?
My workaround is to go back to the oldest person in each of my ancestral lines, and add them to the list with descendants of each. Seems tacky. My tree is only smallish with 1500 people, but I can imagine it would be a bear to be sure you had a complete list if it were a much larger one.
1v1: Exactly like the lookalike meter except to know how close two people are to each other in appearance, not three.
Sitewide: Scans the whole site for lookalikes, not just celebrities.
